Warsaw’s old vodka distillery is transformed into a modern hub that unites creative transformation company WPP’s Polish activities under one roof. Spread across five floors and totalling just over 9,000m2, the space retains its industrial feel while reflecting the modern values of WPP with its vibrant and inspiring interior.

Conceptualised around the distilling process, each storey reflects the different stages of creation. The multifunctional ground floor is shaped around the formation of an idea, where a seed begins to sprout. Here, the raw ingredients—clients, colleagues and ideas—can gather in a variety of dynamic and colourful zones that include a cafeteria, auditorium, meeting rooms and socialising areas. Neat rows of Vico Magistretti’s Vico Duo™ wood veneer stacking chairs seat guests for lunch, while the Piero Lissoni-designed Alphabet™ sofas and Jaime Hayon’s Fred™ chair are clustered in multiples to provide an informal place to relax.

Above, four office levels allow ideas to take shape. Set against original copper, glass and concrete details, embracing Ro™ chairs line the windows, as pockets of calm for new thoughts to blossom or shielded spaces for impromptu one-on-ones. Restful ‘Soft’ and ‘Meadow’ zones utilise colour and texture on furniture pieces selected to emphasise and enhance the function of the space, including Arne Jacobsen’s Pot™ chair from 1959. The upper floor consists of a large business lounge and an event space which together represent a culmination of the work undertaken on the levels below. It is here where knowledge comes to fruition and is shared with the wider world through dedicated areas where Fritz Hansen design offers a timeless and versatile solution to modern ways of working.
