Fritz Hansen Place

Singapore

“This is a space that lives and breathes,” says Dario Reicherl, CEO of Fritz Hansen Asia. “It’s not just about selling design or serving food, it’s about creating atmosphere, inspiration, and a sense of belonging.”

With this vision, Fritz Hansen Place has opened on Henderson Road in Singapore — the first concept of its kind from the iconic Danish design house. Developed together with Alvin Gho and Ian Lim, the duo behind the popular wine bar RVLT, the space redefines what a showroom can be. Neither restaurant nor store alone, it is conceived as a cultural destination where Scandinavian design, natural wine, and bold hospitality converge.

For more than 150 years, Fritz Hansen has shaped spaces around the world with designs that endure in both form and relevance. From Arne Jacobsen’s modernist icons to contemporary collaborations, the collection brings timeless design into today’s conversations. Fritz Hansen Place builds on that legacy, creating not only a showcase for furniture but a living environment where community and culture meet.

Design, Wine, Food, and Gathering

What makes the concept so compelling is the ambiguity at its heart. “You don’t usually go and eat in a furniture store, and you don’t buy furniture in a restaurant, so this creates an experience for the client,” Reicherl explains. The result is a place that intrigues and engages, where timeless design is lived rather than observed.

Unlike traditional furniture showrooms, often quiet and still, Fritz Hansen Place is energised by the human touch of hospitality. “If you add life, it becomes more interesting,” notes Reicherl. That sense of life and warmth comes from Gho and Lim, known for transforming guests into friends through their convivial style of hosting. Here, the combination of design, wine, and food creates an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and personal.

Fritz Hansen Place is a setting for tastings, talks, and gatherings — a living environment where ideas, conversation, and community come together. Located at 211 Henderson Road, Singapore, it welcomes all who are curious about the meeting point of design, food, and culture.
