Enter Art Fair x Fritz Hansen

Copenhagen

Enter Art Fair is an annual landmark event in the Danish art scene. Now in its 5th edition, it continues to successfully bring the best of contemporary art and performances under one roof, attracting artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts from around the world. Fritz Hansen was proud to support this special event as official Design Partner.

Founded with a vision to connect some of the world’s most notable galleries and artists with its international audience, Enter Art Fair's founder Julia Leopold Alf reflects on this event’s fifth edition: "Our approach remains centred on fostering a dynamic synergy between the global and Danish art spheres, enriching the local artistic landscape in the process."

The event took place over four days with a diverse range of artworks from 88 of the world’s leading galleries and live performances taking place throughout. The artworks on display not only showcased technical mastery but also provoked thought and introspection for the thousands of visiting collectors, artists and art lovers.

Bringing an additional layer of sophistication, comfort and beauty to the event, Fritz Hansen was proud to be an official Design Partner for Enter Art Fair, curating several distinct lounge areas.

Presenting as almost an art piece, a PK81™ daybed, the square version of Poul Kjærholm’s classic daybed, came with a special significance. Originally designed for the architecturally masterful Tårnby town hall in Denmark, today it can be found in other exceptional public spaces, including in MoMA in New York City.

Noteworthy are the Series 7™ chairs in the restaurant area – original pieces dating back to 1980, they served as a reminder of the renowned Danish design and manufacturing heritage. More than functional, these chairs are living tributes to design history that underscores the enduring allure of design. All while offering visitors a welcome break to relax and enjoy light refreshments.

Additional lounge and break areas invited guests to engage in intimate conversations from the comfort of iconic pieces by Poul Kjærholm and Arne Jacobsen including large settings with Egg™ chairs, Swan™ chairs and PK80™ daybeds, giving visitors the thought-provoking experience of pausing in timeless design while surrounded by contemporary art.

Outside in the expansive gardens, pieces from Fritz Hansen’s outdoor Skagerak Collection sat lightly amid the dappled light of the trees. The outdoor space offered a serene retreat for visitors to reflect on impressions from the fair in an organic setting while getting a bite to eat or drink in the fresh air.

The interaction between contemporary art and timeless design demonstrated how these realms can converge to create an immersive experience that lingers long after the event concludes.
