Lyngby, Denmark Designed by Dissing+Weitling

In Lyngby, Denmark, furniture brings together a very broad and varied group of employees. COWI is one of Denmark’s largest engineering companies, providing solutions for water-treatment, environment and infrastructure all over the world. In Lyngby, Denmark, the company raised a new headquarter, designed by Dissing+Weitling Architects and – naturally – built by themselves, based on their own strong sustainable values.

The architecture is based on Scandinavian values using brick, glass and steel to create a unique expression. Via an elevated bridge the building is connected to a smaller building, an open and bright entrance, which leads to all the other zones of the house. With the glass and light, the building appears light and spacious, but it still has a formality about with the square form language and height.
