Miuz Gelato Artigianale

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Artisinal gelato in a refined, designer space

Miuz is an Amsterdam-based gelateria taking Italian ice cream to a whole new level. The contemporary space is fitted with design classics, with a subtle nod to its Italian heritage.

Designed by Heinzel | de Vries architects in collaboration with Miuz founder Carlo Petroni, the space is highly curated yet feels effortless. Petroni wanted his clients to experience only the highest quality from the moment they walked in. From the level of craftsmanship to the finest ingredients and the state-of-the-art equipment, every detail has been carefully considered to create a memorable and exclusive experience.
Set against a simple backdrop of concrete and creamy tones, the design underlines the product in a way that is both sophisticated and warm. Key features include the smooth form of the central counter, which has been handcrafted in dark wood, and the arched wooden shelves placed throughout the store, displaying wines and other sweet treats. The use of wooden elements creates a beautiful contrast to the otherwise minimal interior.

The High Dot™ stool by Arne Jacobsen fits perfectly with Miuz’s effortless design philosophy. Modern and minimal, the High Dot offers beautiful, simple high seating for the window seat and table – a timeless and practical addition to the space.
