The Recrafted programme offers restored original Fritz Hansen Ant™, Grand Prix™, and Series 7™ shell chairs in good-as-new condition. The programme is aimed at promoting environmental consciousness and responsible consumption. Unlike traditional practices that involve manufacturing furniture from virgin materials, Recrafted focuses on refurbishing and repurposing pre-existing furniture pieces to give them a new lease on life.

Recrafted also offers commercial clients with original Fritz Hansen furniture the opportunity to sell back to Fritz Hansen.

The process

Furniture in the Recrafted programme undergoes a thorough refurbishment process. This process may include cleaning, repairing, and refinishing the furniture to restore its functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Each piece is carefully inspected to ensure it meets Fritz Hansen's stringent quality criteria before being made available for sale. Customers who purchase Recrafted furniture can feel confident knowing that they are making an eco-friendly choice that aligns with their values.

科灵设计学院为 Series 7™ 注入新生命

由 Cubo Architects 改造的科灵设计学院为教育中的可持续设计树立了新标准。该项目秉持“如果可以重复使用，那就必须重复使用”的理念，在保留原有工业美学的基础上，营造出一个现代、灵活的空间，服务于未来的设计师。

翻新工程的核心是对可持续性的坚定承诺，体现于保留、再利用和重新配置建筑现有结构的决定中，包括立面、墙体、窗户和天花板。

在建筑内部，这一承诺进一步延伸至家具：学院保留了 100 把已经使用超过 30 年的 Series 7™ 椅子。这些标志性的 Arne Jacobsen 设计，经过多年师生的日常使用，已自然形成了美丽的岁月痕迹。学院还从 Fritz Hansen 的 Recrafted 项目中订购了 50 把翻新过的 Series 7™ 二手椅，这些椅子经过检查、翻新，并附带新的十年质保，准备开启新一章。

学院刻意选择不重新上漆，以保留椅子的自然老化外观，使其与原有家具风格保持一致。这种岁月留下的痕迹赋予每把椅子独特个性，也向学生传递出一个重要理念——设计的耐用性和时间的价值。

翻新后的环境充满光感、开放与灵活性，激发创意，同时保留了学院的设计传统。前任校长 Lene Tanggaard 表示：
“科灵设计学院的转型必须在多个层面上实现可持续发展。我们希望减少对气候的影响，并梦想为社会可持续性创造最理想的框架。”
