Limestone

GENERAL INFORMATION

Limestone is a natural sedimentary rock consisting of different minerals from the earth, composed mostly of calcium carbonate. The stone has a light sand grey colour with warm nuances. It is sanded smooth, which brings out a matte and beautiful surface.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Use water and wipe with a dry cloth.
Since the material has an open surface structure, it is receptive to grease and colour and will eventually embrace a beautiful patina. If you wish to freshen up the surface, we recommend finding a suitable natural stone cleaning product. If you wish to treat the limestone further, it can be treated with a surface finish to make it more resistant to dirt and marks of use.

WINTER STORAGE (FOR OUTDOOR FURNITURE)
During the winter, it is advisable to store the furniture in an unheated room such as a garage or cellar. However, it is possible to use the furniture outside all year round.

CLEANING & STAIN REMOVAL

Blot up spills immediately. Limestone is a porous material that will etch if you spill acidic substances such as citrus, wine, coffee and vinegar. That is also why you should never use acidic or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION

Stains from grease, fruit acids and colours, e.g., red wine, berries, jam, lemon etc., cannot be removed, so be extra careful when using these products on the tabletop. Always use a cutting board and wipe the limestone clean after use.
