• ITS ALL ABOUT WOOD

    15 January 2012

In honor of Arne Jacobsen, Fritz Hansen now introduces the stacking chair collection back into its original form in a series of wooden veneer variations, including Maple, Ash, Beech, Cherry, Oregon Pine, Elm, Oak, Walnut and Dark Stained Oak. With each type of wood veneer naturally holding hundreds of shades of colour, it is always possible to find a kind of wood that matches your existing interior. In addition, nine new colours are also being introduced, inspired by the original colour pallet designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1968.

FAVN™– the Danish translation for embrace, is the result of an experimental dialogue between Fritz Hansen and Jaime Hayon. It presents an honest interpretation of Fritz Hansen’s design values.

NAP™ is our new and award-winning stackable chair designed by the award winning Danish designer Kasper Salto. The NAP chair is a reflection of Kasper Salto's approach to design. "For me design is about relevance. To always create a product that has relevance towards its user's."

We are very proud to be awarded with THE DANISH DESIGN PRIZE 2010/11 for our new NAP™ chair. The award was presented to us Thursday the 7th of October 2010 at the Danish Design Center by the Crown Prince of Denmark.
