A tribute to Poul Kjærholm - autumn/Winter 2007

This collection is a tribute to the low-profile and yet highly talented Dane who produced so many of the timeless artifacts of Denmark’s Golden Age of design and the applied arts. Kjærholm’s pieces of furniture are still bracing in their originality, and uncompromising in their attention to detail, four and five decades after their initial production.

We're now adding 2 brand-new Kjærholm models – PK8 and PK58. The 3-legged PK8 side chair is a design based on the PK9 and has only existed in 2-3 early models in Hanne Kjærholm’s home. PK8 is accompanied by the round PK58 table that so far only existed as sketches.

The new pieces are made in new materials, the PK8 is in a hard plastic material in few selected colours, the PK58 in a very strong polyester composite in white. The frames are aluminium. Further pieces in the collection include the PK54 dining table now in granite, the PK61A 120x120 cm coffee table in glass, granite or marble, PK61 coffee table in granite also, the PK22 lounge chair in a new soft look – with smooth suede in 4 colours and chaiselongue PK24 in leather.
